Controls Engineer (Contract)

Position Overview

We are seeking Senior Controls Engineers to support a 3–4 month automation project near New Orleans, LA. This role involves onsite commissioning, loop checks, and electrical troubleshooting. We are currently hiring for both Day Shift (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and 2nd Shift (5:00 PM – 3:00 AM).

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive loop checks and system commissioning.

Execute basic I/O electrical troubleshooting on the plant floor.

Provide onsite engineering support using Rockwell automation systems.

Collaborate with the project management team to ensure milestones are met safely and on schedule.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls/automation engineering.

Rockwell Software Stack: Proficient with ControlLogix (PlantPAx) and FactoryTalk View (FTView).

Hands-on Skills: Demonstrated experience with loop checking and hardware/field instrument troubleshooting.

Flexibility: Ability to work either the Day Shift or 2nd Shift as assigned.

Project Details & Compensation

Location: New Orleans, LA (Onsite)

Duration: 3–4 Months

Travel: Project-related travel and living expenses (T&E) will be reimbursed at cost.
