What You Will Be Doing:

The Senior Power BI Developer plays a pivotal role in driving enterprise analytics across the organization, with a heavy focus on supporting Finance, HR, and Operations leadership. By architecting scalable data models, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing DAX, you will transform complex datasets into executive-ready insights. Your expertise will guide strategic decisions, optimize internal workflows, and establish robust data governance standards across the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and paginated reports supporting Finance, HR, and Operations leadership.

Architect and optimize star-schema semantic models, fact/dimension tables, and dataflows to ensure maximum performance and scalability.

Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence aggregations for advanced financial and operational analytics.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines utilizing SQL Server and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory).

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) to ensure compliant, role-based data access.

Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define KPIs, translate business logic into technical specifications, and automate recurring reporting workflows.

Additional Responsibilities:

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have strong organizational skills, deep technical expertise in the Microsoft data stack, and the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should demonstrate a commitment to internal customer satisfaction and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.

Proven track record of building scalable analytics solutions and executive dashboards.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

3+ years of advanced Power BI development experience, including data modeling, dashboard design, and deploying to the Power BI Service.

Expert proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M) for complex data transformations.

Strong SQL engineering skills (SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Query Optimization).

Experience with Azure data ecosystems (Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL) is highly preferred.

Familiarity with financial reporting, HR systems, or operational metrics is a strong plus.
