Material Handler

TRC Talent is looking for Material Handler for our client in Acworth, GA!

Job Details:

• 1st Shift: 10am - 6pm
• $18.00/hr (pay increase when hired on)
• Temp to Hire

Job Duties:

• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks.

• Package pallets of metal plates and parts using wood, boxes, shrink wrap, and banding to prepare them for shipment by truck.

• Forklift experience is preferred, but training will be provided for those willing to learn.

• The position can be physically demanding at times, so candidates must be comfortable with this type of work.

• Work effectively in a team environment.

• Take bundles of 12-foot or longer bar stock and break them down into smaller bundles.

• Prepare materials for shipment according to company standards.

• Move and stage materials for operators as needed.

• Use an RF scanner to move materials and update their locations in the system.

• Locate and identify lost materials while also assisting with cycle counts.

• Handle large volumes of newly received materials.

• Demonstrate computer proficiency to complete daily tasks.

• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
