Job DetailsOur client is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling employment law matters throughout Georgia and Alabama. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a litigation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing cases from inception through trial. While remote, the candidate must reside in the Atlanta area.
The ideal candidate has prior employment litigation experience, strong federal court filing knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while working independently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and initial case evaluations.
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery responses, and appellate documents.
- Prepare EEOC charges, mediation statements, demand letters, and other employment-related filings under attorney supervision.
- File documents in state and federal courts utilizing electronic filing systems.
- Maintain litigation calendars, monitor court deadlines, and coordinate hearings.
- Organize case files, exhibits, pleadings, discovery materials, and trial notebooks.
- Assist attorneys with written discovery, document production, and evidence management.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and third-party vendors.
- Support attorneys through mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Assist with voir dire, witness preparation, jury selection, and courtroom logistics.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
- Employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with federal court filings and CM/ECF preferred.
- Thorough understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and discovery practices.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management systems.
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
