Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Controller to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Real Estate and Multi-Entity business structures. Our ideal candidate will have a CPA or MBA, and be proficient in Quickbooks and GAAP. This role requires a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience. As a Permanent Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and improving our company's financial performance and direct our accounting operations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
3. Leading the company's financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects.
4. Providing leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
5. Directing and overseeing all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
6. Evaluating and advising on the impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
7. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
8. Providing executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
9. Managing processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting to the Company.
10. Providing recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience and 5 in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
2. CPA or MBA degree preferred
3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.
4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, preferably QuickBooks.
5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
7. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
8. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
10. Experience in managing multi-entity organizations.
