Job Title: Check in/out Technician
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Location: Norcross, GA (Fully On-Site)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 1st Shift
Pay: $16/hr
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify order accuracy, and inspect devices for shipping damage.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by repackaging, labeling, and organizing devices according to customer and order requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of devices to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing stock, maintaining inventory, and preparing devices for distribution.
- Document all received and shipped items and report discrepancies or damaged equipment to Project Leads.
- Test, charge, and replace device batteries as needed.
- Load, configure, and validate network settings based on customer specifications.
- Install and configure software and firmware, ensuring devices meet current versions and requirements.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate more complex problems to technical support teams.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all devices meet required standards before shipment.
- Assist with device setup, including peripherals and accessories, as required.
- Support staging operations by completing assigned device configuration tasks as needed.
- Follow detailed staging instructions, workflows, and customer-specific build guides.
- Communicate any device, order, or system issues to Project Leads in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or device preparation preferred.
- Experience in technology staging, production, or systems support is a plus.
- General knowledge of mobile devices and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow technical work instructions.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and critical-thinking skills.
- Dependable, professional work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
